1. Answer any three of the following questions.
a. Discuss the concept of death', 'sexuality and 'dream' in psychoanalytical criticism. b.Compare and contrast between French feminism and multicultural feminism with references to relevant critics and their works.

2. Answer any TWO:-
a. From the perspective of New Criticism, discuss the activities and expression of Nick and Jordan as forming the organic unit of the text.
b. Interpret the role of Gatsby in relation to his major activities from the perspective of lacks', 'lapses', 'loopholes', 'fissures'.
C. Compare and contrast Daisy, Jordan and Myrtle, the three women characters, from The Great Gatsby using the feminist critical concepts of 'good girl' and 'bad girl'.
3. Interpret the following poem using one of the theories: Psychoanalysis, Feminismn, New Criticism and Structuralism. [16]
